You can obtain a copy of your SafeRent Solutions Consumer File.
Here’s how to get started – Requesting a copy of your SafeRent Solutions Consumer File
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you are entitled to receive one free copy of your consumer file in any twelve-month period from a credit reporting agency (CRA). You are also entitled to a free copy of your consumer file if you meet the following criteria:
You have been notified of an adverse action or been denied housing or employment based on information in your consumer file within the past 60 days:
- You reside in a state where you are entitled to more than one free copy in any twelve month period
- You suspect that your file may contain fraudulent information, or you are a victim of identity theft
- You are unemployed or you currently receive public assistance
You may obtain a copy of your SafeRent Solutions consumer file in one of three ways:
- Download and complete this form and please provide the following forms of identification:
- Photocopy of your driver’s license, non-driver’s license OR state, federal or military government-issued photo ID.
- Social Security Card or ITIN
- If your current address is different that stated on your government-issued identification card, please provide a legible copy of one of the following (Please ensure to send the document itself showing your current address, envelopes are not acceptable.)
- Utility Bill (Cell Phone, Cable, Water, Electricity, Etc)
- Military Orders
- Insurance Cards
- Bank Statement
- Email is the fastest and preferred method. Please send your completed form, along with the required identification request to [email protected].
- Disclosure of your SafeRent Solutions Confidential Consumer file will be provided within 3 business days from the receipt of your email.

OBTAINING YOUR CREDIT FILE
Your credit bureau file is not maintained by SafeRent Solutions. To obtain a copy of your credit bureau report, or for information regarding your credit file, including trade-line accounts such as credit cards, utility bills and bankruptcy information, please contact the national credit reporting agencies (CRAs) listed below.
If a copy of your credit report was obtained through SafeRent Solutions in conjunction with your application for housing or employment, we will provide you with a copy of the report that was obtained.
To dispute information contained in your Experian, Equifax or TransUnion credit reports, please contact the credit bureau(s) directly. In accordance with the FCRA, if your credit file was obtained through SafeRent Solutions, you may forward dispute requests to the SafeRent Solutions Consumer Relations Department, which will in turn be forwarded to the appropriate credit bureau(s) for dispute. Please do not submit credit bureau disputes to SafeRent Solutions which have already been initiated through the credit bureau(s). We cannot assist you with a credit dispute if we did not access your credit file on behalf of our clients.
To receive your credit file from a national CRA, you may do the following:
- Request a copy through the CRA’s automated system via the toll free phone numbers below.
- Submit your request in writing to the CRA via the addresses below. Prior to submitting your request, contact the CRA via the toll free phone numbers below to obtain specific information that you should include with your written request.
- Request a copy through the CRA’s web site.
- Request a copy through www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling 1(877) 322-8228.

For your protection, sometimes it may be necessary for SafeRent Solutions to obtain additional identity verification documentation in order to review your consumer file with you, or to send you a copy of your file disclosure.

Identity Theft Instructions
Pursuant to Section 605B(d)2 of the FCRA, if you are a victim of Identity Theft you may request a freeze of the individual record(s) affected by the Identity Theft that are within your SRS tenant screening file, if any.
Please call our consumer relations center at 888-333-2413 to initiate the security freeze process. Please be sure to have a copy of your Identity Theft Affidavit and/ or Police Report available.
SafeRent Solutions does not have the ability to place a file freeze on your consumer credit report.

- An Identity Theft Report must be submitted containing the specific fraudulent items resulting from the identity theft. This can be an FTC ID Theft Report, copy of a police report, or report from another Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency.
- A complete and legible list of all affected account names, numbers, and all other related details. This information must be listed in the filed Identify Theft Report.
- A statement such as: “ The information is not information relating to any transactions made by me” ; or similar verbiage must be printed on the list of affected account names, unless the statement is on the FTC ID Theft Report you are providing.
- A legible copy of your government-issued identification card containing your current address.
- If the ID does not show your current mailing address, an additional document must be provided showing the current mailing address.
- Utility bill

- Insurance policy

Human Trafficking Instructions
Pursuant to Section 605B(d)2 of the FCRA, if you are a victim of Human Trafficking, you may request a freeze of the individual record(s) affected by the Human Trafficking that are within your SRS tenant screening file, if any.
Please call our consumer relations center at 888-333-2413 to initiate the freeze process. Please be sure to have a copy of your Human Trafficking Affidavit and/ or Police Report available.

To initiate a Human Trafficking Request, you would need to submit the following documentation:
- Trafficking documentation, which is defined as a written determination that you are a victim of trafficking. This document may be prepared by:
- a Federal, State, or Tribal governmental entity
- a court of competent jurisdiction, which includes certain documents filed in court
- a non-governmental organization or human trafficking task force, including victim service providers affiliated with these entities, authorized by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity
- a self-attestation by a consumer who identifies as a victim of trafficking that is signed or certified by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity, court of competent jurisdiction, or an authorized representative of these entities.
- A complete and legible list of all affected account names, numbers, and all other related details. This information must be listed in the victim determination document.
- A legible copy of your government-issued identification card containing your current address.
- If the ID does not show your current mailing address, an additional document must be provided showing the current mailing address.
- Utility Bill
- Bank Statement
- Military Orders
- Insurance Policy
- If the ID does not show your current mailing address, an additional document must be provided showing the current mailing address.
Due to the sensitivity of the documentation, we can only accept the documents via US Mail.
